Buffalo County Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time (Exempt Property) Field Appraiser. Knowledge or experience in construction and in legal descriptions is preferred. Must be literate with computer & office equipment. Must also be knowledgeable with Microsoft Operating System 7 or later. Must be capable of working independently and performing the physical tasks. Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.  Legal and general statistics knowledge a plus.

Assessor Mission Statement

The Buffalo County Assessor’s Office is responsible for the annual discovery, listing and valuation of all taxable real and personal property in Buffalo County and will produce a timely, fair and equitable, and acceptable Abstract of Assessment Roll and Certification of Taxes Levied, and prepare an annual Tax Roll for the Treasurer for Buffalo County that meets all of the Constitution, state statutes, and court decisions, and legal requirements of the Nebraska Department of Revenue.
