The County Clerk's office is the "front office"
mainly the "keeper of records" for Buffalo County.
It is the "hub" of all offices and the place residents
from our county, state, and other areas look to for information.
All Personnel records for our 220 employees are kept with
payroll for those employees being processed.
All insurance for employees and insurance claims against
the county are filed. The budgets for all county offices,
township cities and villages, Fire Districts, School districts,
ESU 10, Sanitary Improvement District, and Visitors Bureau
are kept. Accounts payable for any item the county offices
is processed. We file all miscellaneous proofs of publications,
corporation and partnership records. We issue and record all
county liquor, waste hauler, tobacco, and marriage licenses.
Military discharge records are the only confidential records
recorded in this office not accessible by the public.
