Acceptable Identification
Documents for a Marriage License
- Driver's License
A valid or expired U.S. based (Nebraska, out-of-state, or
U.S. territories -- no foreign countries)
operator's license including CDL's, learners permits and
provisional operators license which contains the name and
date of birth along with recognizable photograph. This will
work as long as the license is not mutilated or altered
and that signatures match.
- Passports
A valid or expired U.S. passport, which contains your name,
date of birth and recognizable photograph.
A valid foreign passport containing name, date of
birth, recognizable photograph, and I-94 Arrival/Departure
Record. The passport needs to have English version or
be translated into English by a certified court translator
and notarized.
- Identification Cards
A valid or expired Nebraska I.D. Card (issued after January
1, 1990), which contains your name, recognizable photograph
and date of birth.
A valid Military Identification Card which shows
your name, recognizable photograph and date of birth.
A valid Resident Alien Card or Permanent Resident
Card (I-551) which shows your name, recognizable photograph
and date of birth. Must have foreign passport accompanying
it.
A valid Temporary Resident Identification Card (I-688)
containing your name, date of birth and recognizable photograph.
Must have foreign passport accompanying it.
A valid Employment Authorization Card (I-688A, I-766)
containing your name, date of birth and recognizable photograph.
Must have foreign passport accompanying it.
A Tribal Card containing your name, date of birth and recognizable
photograph.
THE APPLICANT MUST BE READY TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH OR
TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH BY A CERTIFIED COURT TRANSLATOR AND NOTARIZED.
